Pizzeria Cardinal – Authentic Italian food in Winterthur

Winterthur, with its 112,000 inhabitants, is one of the ten largest cities in Switzerland and the second largest city in the canton of Zurich. In addition to well-known companies such as AXA Winterthur, Sulzer, Rieter and Tesla, the city offers its residents and visitors a wide variety of restaurants.

If I am in the region of Winterthur and would like to eat at a restaurant, then I can be found in 90% of the cases at Cardinal. The pizzeria is located in the middle of residential buildings and only a few metres from the main road leading to the centre of Winterthur. The tavern can accommodate up to 80 guests and can also be rented for individual parties.

The menu makes every Italian food-loving heart beat faster. The menu includes classic dishes such as parmigiana, carpaccio, pasta and pizza. Pasta and pizza can also be ordered in the gluten-free version.

Today I was here with friends for lunch and I have to say again: ” Che buono!”. You can taste that the food is prepared with a lot of love. Traditional Italian food that reminds of a holiday in Italy or the culinary cuisine of Mamma and Nonna. Today I had tomato soup and spaghetti on pesto with prawns and a dash of cream. Special requests, such as spaghetti alla carbonara without bacon but with chicken, are fulfilled here without batting an eyelid and at no extra charge. I’ve been here many times and I must honestly say I’ve always enjoyed the food!
