Getting a table in a restaurant between Christmas and New Year in New York is a challenge. With such a large selection of places to eat, even just choosing one becomes a huge marathon. If, like us, you want to sit down spontaneously because you are hungry, you have to wait at least 15 to 20 minutes.
It is said that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. That’s why I think it should taste really yummy. Right?
As we didn’t eat what we knew from our previous trips to the USA for breakfast the first few days, we looked into the choice of restaurant for the last day the evening before. After a long back and forth we reserved a table at L’Adresse. And that was a very good decision!
The bistro is simply and tastefully furnished. The many wooden elements give the whole room a certain charm. I also noticed the clothing of the staff. Everyone was dressed simply, black and elegant. That gave the whole thing a noble touch.
Different dishes are offered depending on the time of day. If I had discovered this great place beforehand, I would certainly have come here for lunch or dinner.
The breakfast menu is quite small but oho! We would have loved to eat our way through the complete menu. In the end, we decided to have the following dishes:
- Avocado Toast (the best I have eaten to date)
- Blueberry pancakes
- Green omelette
All dishes were right on the point, tastefully mature and simply a dream!
If you are in New York and like to eat well, I can warmly recommend L’Adresse.

After dinner, Bryant Park invites you to take a leisurely digestive walk.
