Where to take the family when the weather is nice? Atzmännig is an excellent address to enjoy a beautiful day in nature. In summer, the toboggan run, the rope park, beautiful hiking trails and an leisure park offer fun for the whole family. In the winter months skiers and snowboarders get their money’s worth. For people like me, who don’t practise these sports, there is the possibility to sledge or to do a snowshoe trail.
Having grown up in Zurich, Atzmännig is known to most people. When I was a child, I was here with my family and school class. A few years have passed since my last visit. To be honest, I totally forgot how beautiful this place is. The drive to Atzmännig already leads through beautiful landscapes with wonderful views of Lake Zurich and the mountains.
Today I took the chance to toboggan a lap. It was fun, but personally I find other toboggan runs a bit more attractive. For families with children, however, I think this track is ideal, as the pace of acceleration is limited. Once you arrive at the bottom, the leisure park with trampolines, petting zoo and other attractions awaits you. If you prefer something in lofty heights, you are in good hands in the Rope Park. The eight courses promise fun and thrills. Well-marked hiking trails are available for hikers. If the weather plays along, one has the possibility to enjoy a panorama with view up to Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau. The “Spatz-Männi-Erlebnisweg” is recommended for families.
Have fun and movement make hungry. You will find a restaurant right next to the leisure park or you can combine a visit to a restaurant with a hike or a relaxing walk in the surroundings.
